FAQ

  • What makes Fairy Tails different from other dog daycares?

At Fairy Tails, we focus on enrichment-based dog daycare—not just open play. Each pup enjoys a customized schedule of sensory activities, small group play, one-on-one time with staff, and plenty of rest. This structure keeps dogs mentally stimulated, physically active, and emotionally balanced.

  • What is enrichment-based dog daycare?

Enrichment daycare goes beyond exercise—it’s about engaging your dog’s senses, mind, and natural instincts. At Fairy Tails, this means rotating activities like scent games, puzzle feeders, agility challenges, and calm cuddle sessions so your pup goes home happy and tired in the best way.

  • What enrichment activities do you offer?

At Fairy Tails, enrichment is at the heart of what we do. From puzzle toys and obstacle courses to splash play and sensory games, we design activities that keep your pup mentally stimulated, physically active, and happily tired by the time you pick them up.

  • Do you separate dogs by size and temperament?

Yes! Safety is our priority. Dogs are grouped based on size, play style, and personality. This ensures every dog—from gentle seniors to playful puppies—has a positive, stress-free experience.

  • How do I sign my dog up for daycare at Fairy Tails?

You can start by filling out our new client application form online. Once received, we’ll schedule an initial behavior assessment to ensure your dog is comfortable in our setting. After that, you can book full-day, half-day, or errand daycare as needed.

  • What vaccinations does my dog need for daycare?

For the safety of all guests, we require up-to-date Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella vaccines. We also recommend the Canine Influenza vaccine and year-round flea/tick prevention.

  • Can my dog attend daycare if they’re shy or not very social?

Absolutely! Many of our activities are tailored for dogs who prefer smaller groups or one-on-one interaction. Enrichment games, confidence-building activities, and quiet lounge areas help shy dogs feel safe and happy while still benefiting from stimulation and routine.

  • What should I bring for my dog’s daycare visit?

For a smooth daycare experience, bring your dog on a secure leash with a collar or harness. If your pup needs meals, medications, or special items, pack them in a labeled bag or container. We provide toys, bedding, and water—so you don’t need to bring those.

  • Can puppies attend your dog daycare?

Absolutely. We welcome puppies that have completed their age-appropriate vaccinations. Daycare is a great way to help puppies develop social skills, build confidence, and burn off energy in a safe, supervised environment.

  • What happens if I’m running late for pickup?

Our regular full-day daycare pickup window is between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. We understand that delays can happen, but any pickups after 7:00 PM will incur a late fee of $5 for every 15 minutes past closing. This ensures our staff can maintain the best care schedule for all dogs.

  • Can I watch my dog while they’re at daycare?

We know how comforting it can be to check in on your furry friend during the day. While we don’t currently have live cameras available, we’re excited to share that we plan to install them in the near future for owner access. We do provide report cards at the end of every day included in our daycare and other services!
