Fairy Tails started as a spark—an unexpected moment of inspiration after five years in the corporate world left me feeling disconnected from my creativity and joy. After being laid off, I struggled to find footing again in the design world I had trained for. Interviews were scarce, and I began to question what was truly fulfilling for me.

That’s when my dad called and suggested something I never expected: “What about a dog daycare?” At first, it felt like a curveball—but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I grew up with dogs—two Shih Tzus and a Chihuahua everyone loved—and when I finally got my own dogs, Callie and Bandit, my bond with them became something deeply grounding.

As I poured time into research, planning, and dreaming up this space, something clicked. I hadn’t felt this passionate in years. And when it came time to name the business, there was only one name that felt right: Fairy Tails—a tribute to Fairy Tales Formal Wear & Bridal Boutique, the bridal shop my mom opened in 1989, right here in town. She passed away in 2004, but this is my way of carrying her beautiful spirit forward, keeping her close in every detail.

Even the space itself is a family effort—renovated and built from the ground up by my dad, a carpenter, and my brother, who’s apprenticing under him. Every beam, brushstroke, and floor tile holds our story. Fairy Tails isn’t just a dog daycare—it’s a peaceful, enrichment-focused haven designed to make dogs feel safe, happy, and fulfilled—and to give their humans complete peace of mind.

With nature-inspired decor, a calm and upscale vibe, personalized care, and special touches like dog photography and monthly bonding events, this space is truly built with love from the ground up.
